Program Overview

The Bachelor of Arts in Christian Counseling is a faith-based undergraduate program designed to provide students with foundational knowledge of counseling, psychology, human behavior, emotional well-being, and biblical approaches to helping others. The program integrates the study of psychological principles with Scripture and Christian perspectives on the mind, emotions, relationships, grief, forgiveness, and restoration. Students explore foundational psychology and psychological science, the neurological dimensions of human behavior, counseling principles and practices, soul issues, grief counseling, and restorative forgiveness. Through this integrated approach, students develop greater understanding of how thoughts, emotions, experiences, relationships, and spiritual beliefs can influence human functioning while learning to approach helping relationships from a distinctly Christian worldview. The program emphasizes ethical and compassionate Christian service, critical thinking, interpersonal understanding, biblical integration, and the responsible application of counseling principles within appropriate ministry and faith-based settings. Students demonstrate their integration of the major areas of study through the Bachelor of Arts in Christian Counseling Final Comprehensive Examination.
